When can I start working?
You cannot begin working until your DS2019 Start Date.
Please schedule orientation the day on or after your DS2019 Start Date.
See “Onboarding in Human Resources” below for more information about the process.
Onboarding in Human Resources
Before starting work, you must complete your onboarding orientation at the Human Resources office, located on the second floor of Mt. Olympus Building #10.
A couple of months before your program start date, Tatum will send you a welcome email with a link to schedule your onboarding orientation.
Please check your inbox regularly and make sure to schedule your orientation in advance. Completing this step is required before you can begin working.
What documents to bring?
You must bring your:

Social Security Card (if you have one)

International Residence Hall Room Number
We will then begin your new hire paperwork and orientation. During orientation we will talk about Social Security appointments and tell you when your scheduled appointment is. We will then drive you to your appointment.
Work Uniform Guidelines
These uniform requirements apply to all departments. Please review the guidelines for your assigned position and make sure you bring the required items with you.
Uniforms will be provided by Mt. Olympus after you complete your onboarding orientation.
Some items can be purchased locally, but keep in mind that thousands of Work and Travel participants arrive in the area each season. Finding your size may be difficult, so we recommend bringing the required items with you.
Housekeeping
Positions: Room Attendant, AM Flex, PM Flex/Runner, Houseperson, and Hotel General Cleaners -
Your uniform shirt and sweatshirt will be provided after your onboarding orientation. If you choose to wear an undershirt, it must be solid black or white.
You are responsible for bringing:

Solid black, closed-toe shoes (comfortable sneakers are recommended)

Black socks

Solid black pants or shorts (shorts must fall just above the knee)

A belt
Lifeguard
Your full uniform will be provided after your onboarding orientation, including swimsuits, shorts, T-shirts, and a visor.
You are responsible for bringing:

Crocs (off-brand versions are also acceptable) we need them to have the strap.

Theme Park
Positions: Rides, Tickets, Park General Cleaners, and Retail -
Your uniform shirt and sweatshirt will be provided after your onboarding orientation. If you choose to wear an undershirt, it must be solid black or white.

Your First Shift: Where to Go
Haven’t completed your onboarding yet? Please visit the Onboarding in Human Resources section first.
During onboarding, you’ll receive the date, time, and location of your first scheduled shift. When it’s time to start, please report to the appropriate meeting location for your department listed below.
