Important J-1 Information
Before starting your J-1 program, there are a few important requirements you need to know. Please read the following information carefully and follow the instructions to help ensure a smooth arrival and a successful start at Mt. Olympus!
SEVIS Check-In – Important
Please wait until you arrive in Wisconsin Dells before completing your SEVIS check-in with your sponsor.
You must include your room number in your housing address when completing the check-in.
Do not complete your SEVIS check-in before receiving your room number. Providing an incomplete or incorrect address may cause issues with your Sponsor.
Please make sure you have your complete housing address before proceeding.
Social Security Appointment – Important Requirement
Human Resources has already scheduled your appointment and will email you the date and time you must report to the HR office to complete the application.
Arriving on time is essential. If you arrive late or miss your scheduled trip, you will be rescheduled for another day. Since appointments and transportation are arranged in advance, this may delay your application process by several weeks.
Please check your email regularly and plan ahead to ensure you arrive at the HR office on time.
